Attributes Part 1

I am Odin, also known as Gangleri, Odinn, Othinn, Vak, or Valtam. In Germanic mythology, which is almost the same as Norse, I am known as Woden, Wōden, Wodan, Wotan, Wodin, and Uuôden. I am usually pictured with either a floppy hat and a cloak (when travelling) or with a winged helmet. I gave up one eye to drink from the Well of Wisdom, allowing me to become very wise. I have two ravens named Huginn and Munin, whose names mean Thought and Memory. I carry a spear called Gungnir, which never misses its target when thrown, and ride the eight-legged horse Sleipnir. The wolves Freki and Geri follow me, and I give them all my food because I do not eat anything; I only consume wine.

My father's name is Bor, and my two younger brothers are Vili and Ve.I am married to Frigg. Other family members of mine are Baldur, Hod, Hermoth, Thor, and Vidar. I am the god of war, death, and knowledge. I do not have many weaknesses, except for the fact that I could get into trouble during my travels. I also do not care much about things such as justice or respect for law. As god of war, I do not care as much about the reasons for or the outcome of a fight as much as I care about the battle itself.

  1. I really like how you described yourself Odin. You have great animals that follow you. I the same do not have many weakness but i do have one which led to my death. I'm sure you know of that story already.

  2. Odin you did a great job on your post, except you messed up one part. I'm sure it was a complete accident, but you didn't mention that I was your favorite son.
